Kyeamba Valley Woodworks is all about the creation of high quality woodwork, and giving people back the traditional skills needed to make their own creations in wood.

The physical act of making something from wood, a beautiful living raw material, satisfies our most basic human need to create with our hands and minds.

A poem by my good friend Brian Beasley sums it up perfectly:

A Philosophy of Woodworking

Working with your hands in wood
provides a means of how we could
make sense of life. That can be good
and infinitely rewarding.

The wonder of a living tree
that through its death there comes to be
timber with the ability
to become something enduring.

Creative use of hand and mind
will want to use if we're not blind
to this rich resource of humankind,
that can be so transforming.

The privilege to appreciate
a beauty we can't overstate
is wonderful to contemplate,
a joy to us affording.
